I'm a girl with a wide range of interest, such as drawing/painting, animals, human rights, and music, to name a few.

I'm not a crazy superblogger, I post things I want when I feel like it, and it's probably a spectacular potpurri of completely different things, but I hope you might find something to enjoy in here. I also reblog pretty pictures, humoristic things and very serious posts about things I think is important, but I could never fit everything I wanted onto here because then I would probably crash both myself and the tumblr server...

Ask me anything -within reason.
THIS, so effing much.
I’ve gotten so much shit about different fandoms I’ve come to love, just because they’re ‘in’ and ‘everybody is reading it it’s soooo mainstream’. I don’t read a manga, or watch an anime just because it’s popular. Talk about a waste of my time. I have tons of other things I’d rather do, like reading mangas I LIKE.
And, just FYI, many of those mangas/animes that are so huge now, I read/watched when they were still pretty much news to the west world.
When I started getting into mangas there were only, like, three-five titles released in Sweden with a few books of each and noone in my vicinity even knew what ‘manga’ was. I was extremely lucky because during the following year the popularity of manga skyrocketed in Sweden and we got tons of new titles, as well as almost monthly releases of the different books in series that already were far along in Japan. It was heaven for me and I started making portraits of pets and family members for the teachers at school just so I could buy manga for the money.
When I went to my very first manga convention, UppCon, I was dressed as Umino Iruka from Naruto, and it was still new and just about popular enough in Sweden that people didn’t scrunch their noses, instead I was greeted by tons of other Narutards who wanted pictures or to discuss the characters, and we even had an epic Naruto battle outside in a big parking lot with bad guys vs good guys to the delight of all onlookers. The Narutards dominated the convention, as well as the next year.
Now, a few years later, I’m not as passionate about most of the series I used to follow though I still like them, but I’m almost happy I had my fangirly manga-period when I was younger because I think it would have been hard to be met by the attitudes many people have today against different fandoms if you were just starting to get into something.
And the Narutards, well… they’re becoming one of the minorities at UppCon.

…
Wow. I only meant to write ‘THIS’, but well… I guess I had some things I felt like venting.
